About Us
Hi, I’m Russell, the man behind The Moth Forge.
I am a passionate craftsman and able to put my hands to work in many fields. Starting out in conservation work in Wales, helping preserve our natural flora and fauna. And specialising in woodworking on sensitive sites, designing and building shelters, bridges, boardwalks, and many more things.
This led to getting into building geodesic structures and building a business out of them. Unfortunately all the manual labor over the years has taken its toll on my body so I learned a new skill, one with less heavy lifting, leather crafting.
And here we are today, getting lost in the rhythmic patterns in leather working. Finding peace with every stitch and the joy of still creating with my hands.
And all shared with my German Shepherd, Nala.
